[For Peter, the world seems suddenly much bigger after joining the fight between the Avengers in Berlin. He'd been starting out small with the superhero stuff, sticking to Queens and venturing out of his home borough only when duty called for it. He'd never even left New York before Tony Stark had come knocking on his door, bringing with him a chance to do some good on a wider scale. And, of course, there was the opportunity that came with knowing such an influential man.
Peter hadn't thought Tony was serious when he mentioned giving Spider-Man a much-needed upgrade—and such a thorough one, truly a hundred-point restoration. Even more surprising had been the fact that he was allowed to keep it when it was obviously expensive and far more advanced than anything Peter could make with his resources. And yet with all of that at his fingertips, and with the promise that Happy would be his point man, Peter feels suddenly thrust into this new chapter of his life. His calls and texts go unanswered, and while he understands that the Sokovia Accords mean that there are probably fewer missions that would allow a fifteen-year-old, he still feels a little lost. He tries to hold out, to not give in because it might make him look like a child running to adults for guidance, but after a couple months he caves.
Walking into Stark Tower is easier than expected, as is riding up the elevator that takes him past the public levels and to the private top floors. He clutches at the strap of his backpack with both hands as he stumbles out, spinning around several times as he takes it all in. Most noticeably is the fact that he's alone.]
